From the parking lot (974 m) we first walk comfortably and past idyllic alpine meadows along a forest road towards Bösen Wald. We hike through the Bösen Wald on a stony path to the Florlhütte. From the Florlhütte we continue to the Höllsattel (1449 m) where the Franzosenkreuz is located in memory of the battle in November 1805. From there we descend briefly into the Höllboden and through the narrow steep Voisthalergaßl up to the Voisthalerhütte (1654 m). After a short rest we continue into the valley to a karstic high valley floor. From there we ascend the Graf-Meran-Steig. Via Rotgangboden and the broad northeast ridge we ascend to the summit cross (2277 m). After a stop at the Schiestlhaus (2153 m), the highest low energy house, we hike the same way back to Seewiesen.
